Spanish Holiday Activities - Sailing

Cetaceos & Navegacion was established in Puerto de Mazarrón, a town dedicated to the fishing and agricultural activity in South Eastern Spain.

The boat ‘Karyam’ was constructed in Turkey in 1988 and is equipped with all the latest technical and safety equipment required, along with 7 double cabins with bath.

As an established sailing company, we want to contribute to the protection of the resources of the sea and the different species from cetaceans in a project combined of formation and environmental education, directed to increase the awareness on the necessity to take care of these resources.

The primary target of Cetaceans & Navigation are to make sightings of cetaceans and visit natural places in the Gulf of Mazarrón, offer to the public through routes of day, weekends and complete weeks. In all the sailings that the ‘Karyam’ incurs, whenever we sight a group of cetaceans, we complete an identification card on the species, his I number, his position, its composition, etc, as well as data of sea disturbance and any contamination. All these cards serve to create a database on the populations of cetaceans.
