Spanish Activity Holidays - Walking & Mountain Bike Riding

We can offer a variety of different options for the different experiences of each group.

We have a one and half hours linear walk, which is through the mountains of the National Park, with its stunning panoramic scenery. Relatively flat, this excursion could include a picnic lunch or a short stay at a local bar for tapas, making it a great day out for the family. This walk would be suitable for beginners or for an evening ramble after the heat of the day.

Walks can be as long as 2, 3 or 4 hours and there is even an extremely arduous 5 – 6 hour walk to the top of the Pena Blanca, a white flat topped mountain which dominates the landscape. However, this is not an option in high summer.

There are many different trails, all of which include magnificent views of the mountains and the Mediterranean in the distance. The walk you choose would depend on your level of experience and fitness. Advice would be given by the experienced walking guides. All these walks will include some steep hill climbing with ridge top walking.

In the hottest months of the year, there is no walking between the hours of 12 noon – 5pm. But early morning treks or evening walks are superbly pleasant.

All walks incorporate picnics on route, a barbecue or paella meal on return according to the clients pre arranged wishes.

The paella or barbecue meal can be enjoyed in the surroundings of a smallholding including horses, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks.

Any children on the linear walks are more than welcome to feed the animals under supervision upon return to base.

Mountain Biking is a pastime, which can be enjoyed by the whole family or group of friends together.

A selection of trails which run along side the mountain base can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, giving you the opportunity to take in the fauna and flora, in this rural setting in this National Park landscape.

Trails have a mixture of smooth road and rough trek, some are suitable for children riders, others are more challenging for the more serious mountain biker.

For the more adventurous, there is a number of treks which lead slightly higher up into the mountain - which means the trail is rough riding both up and down hill.
